Kelley K. Quinn: Artist Biography
Since 1999 I have been designing large-scale art projects involving labyrinths, mandalas, mosaics and murals. My focus has been getting students or diverse members of the community to work together to create a unique work of art for a specific location.
Some pieces are permanent, some are temporary but everyone, including myself, comes away with a new sense of what art is and what it can do for a community.
While my areas of interest seem diverse, they all share deep roots in the idea of individuals learning to explore their intuitive nature, reflect on their own experiences and then combine their ideas into a collaborative piece that, through visual language, creates a stronger sense of identity and community.
