PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

2009-2011

Gallery Director, Volunteer Coordinator, West Central Illinois Arts Center,
25 East Side square, Macomb, Illinois.

 

2009

Artist in Residence, Jay Stream Middle School, Carol Stream, Illinois.

Worked with 800 students for one week teaching sacred geometry,

designing mandalas and creating a 49’ diameter installation of a Labyrinth/Mandala and 2’X 2’ canvas replica of the same design.

 


2009

Artist in Residence, Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois. Worked with six  schools and one core group over a four-week period teaching sacred geometry and designing mandalas. Partially funded through the Illinois Arts Council.


Assistant Director:  Lisa Steinmetz Gallery, Saint Louis, Missouri.
Responsible for installation and taking down of shows; locating and selecting artist’s work for shows; organizing openings and special events; establishing and maintaining a client base; writing critiques of gallery pieces; writing press releases for radio, newspaper and television.

 


1992-1993

Assistant Director: Western Illinois University Art Gallery, Macomb, Illinois. Responsible for installation and taking down of shows; locating and selecting artist’s work for shows; organizing openings and special events; establishing and maintaining a client base; writing critiques of gallery pieces; researching, cataloging and translating the permanent collection.
